LUXUnder Construction Welcome to a in progress shrine to one of my many favorite shows; Lucifer. Been a fan of the show since sometime in 2016. I believe my sister told me about it but I didn't start watching it until I sat down in the living room and watched it with my mom since she was watching it at the time. I only sat down in that room in order to do something while waiting on my coffee to be made in my small now long gone coffee maker (I have a different one now). Kind of a said way to get into something but that's how it started, though watching it caught my interest. I would think that a show about a so called angel and the so called evil being would end up being lame and would make me lose interest quick if I did get at least a little interested. (Going with 'so called' since outside of the bible the good and evil in there isn't proven to be true, only inside the book. Though you believe what you want to believe.) But this version of Lucifer is different, sure there is the whole him being an angel thing but with the being evil thing, it's not really the case, being treated evil instead and being blamed for bad things that people blame him for, though it's not like they'll really know he's the devil despite what he says. Being bored with life in hell and deciding to take a vacation on earth is funny to me, it's a rebellious thing to do, and it's different from the other Lucifers (aka other versions of Lucifer). So, back to me watching him.. I remember watching the episode that has the scene of a man that's standing on the edge of a building by himself at first until Luci comes in and starts talking to him while Chloe, some of the LAPD, and other people end up watching. I'll have to find out what the ep is called but I'm sure it's in season 1. Sometime during the second season, I became obsessed and actually made characters that are based on Lucifer Morningstar and Chloe Decker. Which then became a side story, which connects to another. It's full title is called Melon's Adventures Side Story: Lucian and Kelly's Beginning and I even added them to the story that's connected Melon's Adventures. You see Lucian is based on Lucifer and Kelly is based on Chloe, I even have Don, who is kind of based on Dan Espinoza, haha. Maybe the story reflects on the show so much that it might not be able to be published as an actually story book because of copyright issues XD If I do get that far with it. To know more click here. During my obsession, I downloaded seasons 1 - 3 and watched them a lot, maybe more than three times. For a long time, up to the first episode of season 4, me and mom usually watched it together but after that she completely lost interest. I guess she let her beliefs get in the way or she just didn't care about watching it anymore >-> Because of the show's move to Netflix, it was hard to watch it since we (me and my mom) tried watching it on my laptop but because it's hard to watch stuff that's 1080p (or 720p), it caused the footage to move really slow and in a jerky state while the audio played just fine or it could've been Netflix's site being too upgraded for an old laptop that used to run Windows XP and then apparently got upgraded to Windows 7. I was both sad and mad about it, then we tried watching it on my Nintendo 3DS but the quality is bad and the screen is small, by the time I actually got to watch it in a decent way by using my dad's android phone (I have my own now but I only had an old fashion cell phone back then), my mom stopped watching it and so I watched the rest of the season on there by myself. But before the first part of season 5 came, I was finally able to watch it on a tv thanks to the cable box having a Netflix app. I watched the rest of the show on there and then rewatched season 4 and 5 (I didn't get to do that with 6, there's just so much to watch that the opportunity to rewatch it got covered up o-o). I never lost interest though before season 6 was available on Netflix since I was going through lots of shit my interest did flutter away for a long while, though I also lost some interest in playing video games, reading my favorite manga, and drawing.. It did come back though and I eventually watched that season and enjoyed it, I'm really glad that the end was wrapped up and how it ended with happy endings for the characters, even though I wanted at least one more season XD
How the Shrine Began CharactersComing soonEpisodesThe show is actually based on the DC Comics character (Lucifer) from The Sandman comic series that later became the protagonist of a spin-off comic series that has the same title as his name. I didn't know about this until later and even though I have no interest in any DC Comic, I still fell in love with the show, though the comic is different from it. Lucifer aired on FOX on Jan 25, 2016 - May 28, 2018. The reason for the cancellation of the show is unknown but I read that they wanted to make room for sports programs. Not sure if that's true. Another possible reason could be because of the devil having his own tv show (especially one that makes him look like a hero) grinded the gears of many people, the common one would be a group of people called One Million Moms, which may only include women because of it's title. The show was brought back by popular demand on Twitter with #SaveLucifer for those who wanted it to continue, including me. Even the cast and crew where involved! The hashtag became the #1 trending topic! I even made a Twitter account in order to help save the show but it was short lived since I deleted it some time after it was saved. Then a second hashtag appeared that also became a trending topic as well; #PickUpLucifer. Amazon Prime answered and it looked like Lucifer would continue there but apparently Netflix beat them to it. Lucifer being on Netflix started with the addition of Season 4 on May 8, 2019 - Sept 10, 2021. With the show's move, the episodes became longer from 42 mins - 55 mins (or at least somewhere in the 50's). I'm pretty sure that the seasons on there are short since Netflix (and maybe other streaming services) add a small amount of episodes for each tv show. But unlike the other seasons, Season 5 is split into two parts; Part 1 and Part 2, making that season longer.
Bonus: Lucifer's NicknamesSince he gave many humans and non humans nicknames I created a list that was just for myself but since I made this shrine I get to share them :D They're funny and enjoyable so I had to make a list XD Note that more than one character can be given more than one nickname.
Season 1: Detective Douche, Mazie, Jimbo, Joey, Jo-Jo, Mr. Snowcone, Troll, Sadouche (or Skadouche), Tissue Lad, Sherlock, Rickster, Ricky, Coma boy, Altar boy, Padre Pederast, Padre Punchy, Padre, Little Miss Sunshine, Detective Stache, Detective von Douche, Malcie (or Malkie)
Season 2: Apple Boy, Sir Douche, Offspring, Cinder-hellion (his Mum, from Chloe calling her Cinderella), Vicky (from Victor), Buddy Boy, Crantini (Amenadiel - Combo of cranium and martini? Cranium since he's bald? Had a martini in that episode?), Urinal, Crying Boy, (or Crying guy), Mr. Shooter, Mr. Sniper, Sleepy Pete, Twinsy, Tommy Bahama (might not be his nickname for him), Stalker Girl, Dougie, Soupy Season 3: Mr. Said Out Bitch (also used in S5), Joshy, Sammy, Handy, Judgey, Officer Snake Hips, Mr. Killer Bartender, Juddy, Reesey (from Reese), Mr. Dangerous Doug Libby, Marky Marc (Cain), Evil Lopez, Negative Nelly, Patty (from Patrick), Mr. Janitor, Pinhead, Pastrami Boy, Drunky, Piercy
Season 5: Mr. Said Out Bitch, Normansky, Mr. Judgey Pants Desktop & Mobile ViewingDesktop Viewing: Works best in Firefox and Google Chrome so far. Internet Explorer isn't working for me (probably because it's an outdated browser that can't be used anymore) so I can't view the shrine or any other site there :S But for both desktop and mobile viewing, many parts of this shrine uses the Supernatural Knight font style. If you'd like to see it with that font, it can be downloaded here. After downloading it, the file can be added to the fonts folder.Mobile Viewing: The font in the Headers become Arial instead of staying on Supernatural Knight. Unlike desktop viewing, I don't know how to download fonts on there nor for any other fonts like Supernatural Knight to work or it could be like that because of my phone. I'm guessing this is caused by Arial being one of the font styles that mobile supports. Tested with Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown phone since it's the one that I own. It was made in 2019 or earlier so it might look better or worse for other phone modles. It works best in horizontal view as it's very narrow in vertical view. |
