"Where is he? I wonder what's taking him so long?" Lilly asked to herself. She sits on the first step of her porch. She already took Skyler to the bus stop a few hours ago but that guy still isn't here.
Suddenly Miles comes running out of the forest and towards her, all four feet pounding on the ground with every moment. "I'm sorry about being late!" He said while running but stops and stands up after being close to the porch. He starts panting as his small tongue hangs out of his mouth. He notices this and puts it back in but keeps panting. "Miles!"
She shouts happily. "What took you so long?" She asked.
"I had.. to run down a hill.. That's why.." He said through his panting.
"Why where you on a hill?"
"Ever since.. I found that.. hill... I've been using it to.. think about stuff. And it's.. my favorite spot.. to be at. Man, I need.. a drink!"
"Would you like water?"
"Yes, please.." He said, still panting.
After Lilly comes out with a cup of water and gives it to him, he takes it and uses his tongue to drink it, like a wolf and drinks the rest of it normally.
"Ahhh.. refreshing.. Water is the best, don't you think?" He said with a smile. "What's wrong with you..?" He sees that she is looking at him with a confused look.
"Why where you drinking that water with your tongue..?" She questioned.
"I-I was! Damn! Just.. uhh.. forget about that, okay?!"
"But I saw it.. You where using your tongue..."
"Shut up!! I said to forget about it!" He then growls.
She gulps. "Okay, okay! I-I'll forget about it, just calm down!"
He stops growling and looks down in shame. "Sorry.. I do that.. sometimes when I'm mad."
"It's alright.. How about we forget about this and go inside?" She then turns her head to look at her home and looks back at him.
"In.. side..? Geez.. I haven't been inside anyone's house for months.. I've always been outside.. in forests." Miles said with a sigh.
"You haven't been inside a house for months?!"
Miles nods shamefully with his eyes closed and opens them.
"Don't worry about it! It isn't that bad to always be outside. In fact it's kinda cool!" She smiles.
"R-Really..? But I'm just so.. different and weird.. You don't know much of that at all.."
"So what? It's alright to be different! 'I don't know about being weird though..' I still think living outside is kind of cool!"
"'Lilly..' You don't know me that well and yet your still nice to me.. Why is that?" He said with a blush.
"Because I want to be friends with you and I did say that I would be nice to you if you came out of your hiding spot when we met."
"You.. really want to be friends.. with someone like me..?"
She nods her head with a smile.
"I hope that I feel the same way with you but.. I'm still unsure if I want that or not.. The last girl that I was with broke my heart when she saw.. something about me... But she didn't care about me at all after that.." Miles then sighs.
"'That.. darn.. hamster.. How dare she does something awful to him!' Grr... How rude!"
"Yeah, she was defiantly rude.. But how about we go for a walk in the forest instead?"
"Sure!" Said Lilly happily.

The two hamsters walk through the forest side by side, there isn't any pathways so they walk where ever they want.
"When it comes to the forest or even the woods, I'm usually comfortable and when things get rough, I'm able to handle it by myself." He said with a smile.
"It's no wonder your like that, since you've been living outside for months." Said Lilly, interested. "Your really used to it, huh?"
"Yep. To tell you the truth though.. Almost a year ago, I used to be scared of going into forests or woods. The day after one cruel night though.. my fear of being in places like this disappeared and never came back."
"Really?? Wow! What a sudden change!" She said with amazement. "One cruel night..? W-What happened??"
His eyes move to her as the white hamster sees sadness in them. "Miles..?"
"I'm okay.. But I think it's best that you don't know anything about what happened that night.. I'm saying this because I don't want you to be scared and.. I don't want what happened to me.. happen to you too." He said with worry.
"...So, when you.. said it was cruel..."
"I really ment it.." A different smell to him suddenly comes to his nostrils. He sniffs to make sure it's there. "I never smelled this scent before.." He mumbled. And then runs off on all fours a little but stops and looks back at her. "I'll be right back! Stay there!" Miles then runs off again but doesn't stop this time. "Now what..?" She asked herself.

Lilly soon cries herself to sleep and wakes up on her side with the sound of a wolf howling. 'A wolf? But I thought wolves don't live here.. I've lived here ever since I was young and I never saw a wolf or heard a wolf before.. So, why now? But it doesn't matter.. I'm going back to sleep.' She thought, laying down and then shuts her eyes.
"LILLY! LILLY!!" Her brother shouted with worry while knocking on her bedroom door.
"Rrr.." She didn't want to get up but.. she has to, to shut him up, hopefully. "I'm coming!"
She gets out of bed, walks to her door and opens it. "What is it Skyler..?"
"D-Did you hear that howling..? Well, it woke me up and it was so creepy that I got.. s-scared.." Said Skyler, shivering.
"Yeah and it woke me up too... it's so weird that there's a wolf near by.. and that we didn't hear it before until tonight."
"Please save me, Lilly! I don't want to be eaten!" Said Skyler, still shivering while hugging Lilly.
"When where you scared of wolves?"
"T-Tonight.. their howls are so creepy!" He hugs her tightly.
Another wolf howl is heard. "Mommy!! Save me!!" He said, closing his eyes in fear and hugs her tighter.
"S-Skyler.. your hugging me too tight." He quickly let's go of her. "It's going to be alright. I'll see why there's a wolf out there." She hugs him and walks downstairs.
"Alright.. Bye.." He feels worried about her going after a wolf by herself but he's too scared to go. That is until.. yet another wolf howl is heard. "Wa.. Wait!! Don't leave me here alone! Let me come with you!" Said Skyler, hugging Lilly tightly again.
"Alright." He let's go of her. "Just no more tight hugs.. your tight hugs are too tight..."
The two walk into the dark forest with rain coats on since it's still raining. Deeper and deeper they walk, while Lilly is holding a flashlight of course. They would have a hard time finding the wolf without it.. The more they walk through the creepy looking forest, the howls sound closer and closer as the wolf keeps howling. That's when the little brother chickens out and wants to stay behind. "I-I-I'm gonna.. s-stay behind.." He said in a scared tone.
"Alright, I'll come back for you until I see this wolf for myself. 'Pff.. chicken.'"
Alone, Lilly walks up a hill that leads to an open field with no trees only the ones surrounding it into the shape of a circle. And there she sees a small wolf in the darkness, standing with it's tail tucked between it's legs, showing that it's scared.
'There really is a wolf near our home!' She's about to shine the light of her flashlight to it but it quickly runs away towards the trees. "W-Wait! Don't go.." She runs after it but quickly loses sight of it, despite having a flashlight. The white hamster stops running and lowers her head in sorrow while walking back to her brother.
"W-What happened?! W-Was there really a wolf up there..?!"
"Yeah.. there was but it ran away. There wasn't anymore wolves around so I think this might be the only one that's around here.. poor thing.. must be lonesome being by itself.."
"Oh.. that sucks.."
"I guess we should go home and get back to sleep.." Said Lilly with a yawn.
"Yeah.." Said Skyler with a yawn.
Both of them go back home and they fall asleep in their beds.

The next morning, the rain has stopped hours ago and the sun is shining bright. It's Saturday so Lilly doesn't have to wake up her brother for school today, instead she gets out of bed and walks outside and sits on the first step of the small porch wondering if Miles will come today despite what happened yesterday. Even though she decides to wait for him, she's also nervous about seeing him again. She really wants to know his side of the story about him being a Wolf Hamster. A being that is both hamster.. and wolf? To her it sounds like something out of a fictional story but could such a creature really exist? And is Miles that hybrid like creature? The ribbon wearing hamster waits.. and waits.. but there is no sign of him anywhere. Is he ever going to show up? After about a half an hour later, she lowers her head and frowns.
"It doesn't look like he's going to come.. Maybe I should quit waiting and go inside?
Maybe he really is a Wolf Hamster like that hunter said.. Sigh."
However, little did she know is that Miles is near by on the edge of the forest next to her house, hiding behind a tree's trunk with his back against it. 'I wonder if she believes what that hunter said to her.. Can she even be comfortable with a hamster like.. me? I'm most likely that Wolf Hamster creature.. it makes sense after all. I do wolf-ish things and then there's my transforming. But she saw me last night as well.. Did she figure out that it was me? It didn't look like it.. At least there's that silver-lining.' He smiles. "Just because of that hunter being there and what he said to her, doesn't mean I should let this bother me. Besides she can't believe such a thing exists without proof, can she? I doubt it. Right, I'm gonna go see her." So he comes out of his hiding place and walks out of the forest.
Lilly lifts her head up and sees him walking towards her. Her eyes sparkle with glee and runs to him on her two feet. The brown and orange hamster sees this and becomes nervous at first but smiles after seeing her happy expression. When she gets close to him she gives him a hug, which surprises the strange hamster. "Miles! Your back!" She shouted with happiness.
But he wiggles to break free of the hug and manages to do so and startles Lilly, being very confused about this strange action.
"Don't ever hug me again! I'm.. just not.. good with hugs, okay? Y-You shouldn't hug someone like me.. I used to enjoy being hugged.. but that was a long time ago and a lot of things have changed!" Miles explained in a harsh tone.
"O-Oh.. I-I didn't know.. I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!"
"It wasn't that big of a deal.. so it's fine." He said with a slight smile.
She walks closer to him. "So.. your alright.. right?"
He nods but blushes a lot with her being closer to him. "But.. I.. uhh.. I want to ask you.. s-something."
"What is it..?"
"When that h-hunter.. told you that I-I'm a W-Wolf Hamster.. Did you b-believe him..?"
"I don't know if I should believe in him or not but it sounds made up.. Though I'm not sure if I saw a Wolf Hamster last night or not but.. I did hear and see a small wolf."
Miles gulps and starts to shiver in fear. "Y-Y-Yeah, it d-defiantly sounds m-made up.. S-So you saw a small w-wolf.. h-huh? T-That's umm.. g-great."
"Are you feeling.. alright?" She looks at his whole body. "Your whole body is shivering! You can't be alright!"
"S-Shivering?! I'm n-not shivering!"
'Liar..' She thought with a suspicious look. "This has to do with that hunter.. isn't it? You can tell me."
He blushes hard, embarrassed by his action yesterday. "Y-Yeah.. it is.."
"You are a Wolf Hamster then..? And why did you run away from me? If you didn't, I would have protected you until that hunter left."
His shivering subsides somewhat. "I-I just can't.. answer t-that question yet 'I don't even know myself.. I might be but I have to.. make sure first.. heh, heh..' I-I dunno why but I-I just felt really s-scared and worried a-about myself.. and y-you too."
"Oh, it's alright.. Worried about me?"
"I-I don't want to a-accidentally h-hurt you.." Miles' shivering stops. "Your nice to me and you worry about me, even though we just met. Before I met you, I was always by myself in a forest or in the woods. I don't like being alone.. but when I know I have a good relationship with someone then I can be without that hamster sometimes but always being alone really sucks."
Lilly smiles. "You really want to be good to me, don't you?"
He looks at her with determination. "I don't ever want to hurt you and if I did I would feel really bad.."
She sighs deeply in relief. "I didn't think that you would but.. after you left that hunter warned me that it will be my fault if I get bitten by you. A-And if I did.. then I would become a Wolf Hamster and will have to live that way for the rest of my life because.. there would be no way to turn back to normal... But if you really are such a creature, then there's nothing to worry about because you won't bite me." She said with a smile.
'If I really am one.. then.. I'll make sure that I don't bite her. So, there's.. no cure to being one..?' He gulps and frowns. "S-So.. that small w-wolf or whatever it was.. D-Did you see any m-markings on it..?" He said nervously.
"I didn't since it was so dark outside.. Maybe if it wasn't raining, I could've seen the moon and might give me enough light to see if there's any, though I'm not sure if there was one that night. I did have a flashlight though but before I shinned it on the wolf, it ran away. I was able to see it's tail tucked between it's legs though and it looked like it was.. all alone. That was the first howl and the first wolf I seen.. my brother, Skyler also heared the howls and it woke both of us since we were sleeping."
He smiles, thanks to the good news on his part. "That's great!" He then gets a confused look from Lilly. "I-I mean.. Wow, first howl, first wolf.. heh, heh. That's uhh.. weird to see something.. like that."
"Yeah, I've lived here ever since I was young and when Skyler was just a baby and I never even heard a howl before and wolves aren't even around here.. so, it's very weird."

The half moon glows brightly in the sky as Miles keeps screaming in pain as loud crackling sounds go along with it. "M-Miles..?"
She slowly walks over to him after getting off the porch's staircase. His body slowly starts to get bigger and bigger, his ears shape into triangles, becoming pointed on the top, his dark brown colored tail grows longer and longer as the same shade of brown fur on his body sprouts on his long tail. As Lilly walks closer to him, she sees how is tail is becoming different and it scares her. "M-Miles! W-What's happening to you! Please tell me!" The upper part of his front paws stretch into small legs, the upper part of his feet becomes small legs, his paws and his feet grow small black claws, a black ring forms around both of his eyes, a snout forms from his small mouth as sharp canines grow out of his top and bottom mouth, his little black nose gets bigger and becomes a canines', two long sharp canines appear on the sides of his top and bottom mouth, his pink tongue grows longer and flops over to the one side of his canine mouth. With this painful transformation complete, he stops screaming and pants in a deep voice, his now moveable ears perk up and then flatten. He quickly turns around at her and growls as loud and as rough as it was before, but he bares his canines with his tongue now inside his mouth. "I-Is this w-why you l-leave during a s-sunset..?" She stands there, too scared to move, her whole body shakes with fear. Miles walks slowly to her, still growling and still baring. He then opens his mouth and jumps at her. "AHHHHHHH!!!" She screams and quickly runs away back home, not knowing that he didn't hurt her. Lilly then slams the door and leans her back against it, panting heavy. Her bother hears the slam and runs to the kitchen. "Why did you sla- Lilly? Are you.. okay?!" He then runs to her. "What happened??!"
"S-Something.. happened to Miles... I was following him.. and then.. All of a sudden ..he started screaming! I think he was.. in a lot of pain.. but I don't know why! And then his body starts to change! Now he's some kind of wolf and he's growling and has these scary looking teeth! I-I couldn't move at first but then I quickly ran back home as if my life was on the line!! I just don't know what went wrong!" She then cries and her body slides down until she's sitting.
The small wolf runs as fast as he can through the dark forest as a moon's light follows him with his ears flattened, feeling scared and angry. His long brown fluffy tail is tucked between his now hind legs, showing his feelings. He had no choice but to do that to her.. He had to do something to get her away from him! So he went a little wild to scare her off but.. what if it made things worse for her??! And if things are worse for her.. then.. he'll feel really awful about what he did. He hated how she had to keep following him and his transformation becoming earlier than he sensed didn't help either..
Lilly lays on her bed with her lamp on, scared, worried, and mad. Scared about what she experienced earlier. Worried about how Miles is doing and what the heck happened to him. Mad at how he didn't tell her or warn her about what actually does happen during the night, after the sun is done shining for the day. He told her that he does stuff during that time instead.. Stuff?! Yeah, strange, nervous and scary stuff! In a way she wanted to give him and piece of her mind but.. in another way she's too scared right now to even approach him.. She doesn't know what to do about this but she knows one thing.. that she is in too much shock to sleep. Maybe in a few hours she'll be tired enough to.. or maybe she won't be able to sleep at all.. Ouch! After Miles became.. a wolf or.. something, he acted like he was the exact opposite of how he usually is. He's usually gentle, kind, yeah he can lie.. yeah he likes to change the subject... and he does have moments when he's mad but..that was like how a wild animal acts! ("You better get away from him if you know what's best for you! He's not a normal hamster, young lady! He's in fact a Wolf Hamster, a species that is half wolf and half hamster..") A Wolf Hamster.. Was that hunter really telling the truth??!! Does Miles already knows what he is??! Even so.. he's really friendly to her, he does strange stuff though but he's still friendly and he's nice to Skyler too. How can something that sounds terrible be so nice? Soon the small wolf creature finds a clear lake as the half moon lits a part of it. He walks over to the lake to where the moon's light is lighting it, he lowers his head and takes a few licks. He stops and lift's his head and sees his reflection. He flattens his ears once more. Why did he have to become this way?? He doesn't want this! He never asked for anything like this! Like he told Lilly earlier, he wants to be normal! He had to be this Wolf Hamster creature, it all makes sense. She told him earlier that The Hunter said that when someone becomes a Wolf Hamster then that someone will be one for the rest of their life.. A whine comes out of his mouth. Miles is afraid and hates this sad truth but he has to grow up and try to live his life as best as he can despite being half wolf. Those thoughts run through his mind, in this state he usual thinks. He can't talk to hamsters because they aren't able to understand him. Though he can bark, howl, whine, and make other wolf sounds to hamsters but that always scares them, at least when he tried asking for help after gaining some confidence. He doesn't like this side of him and he's scared of it too.. especially when he needs to hunt. Miles' stomach growls but he's too depressed to eat.. He wishes that he didn't go into the woods that night, then he wouldn't have been attacked and wouldn't end up being like this. He knew he saw a big creature that night and after that night, his whole life turned upside down.. He had to leave his whole normal life behind because of that creature.. that stupid creature.. Why did it have to bite and scratch him??! He growls at the thought but then stops. The lonely wolf-ish hamster wants to be with her again.. Lilly.. but he knows that he can't approach her like this, especially since he scared her a lot.. He whines again in his wolf-ish voice, even though he wants to see her, at the same time he's afraid of seeing her... He can't bare to see her again, not tomorrow, not even the next day! He will be too scared.. and too nervous if he ever saw her face again he would run away and hide in his comfort zone, the forest...

It's been a week since that night.. when Lilly learned the truth about why Miles leaves during the setting sun. After five days went by, Lilly decides to sit on her porch and wait for him, before she usually kept herself in her room if she didn't have to do anything for her little brother. But now she waits, he didn't come yesterday and it doesn't look like he's going to come today.. Miles didn't come and ring their door bell like she thought he would, if he did, she wouldn't want to answer it.. and would get her brother to do it instead. Even though she's both still mad and afraid at him for what happened that night. She still misses him and wonders if she is ever going to see him again.. The white hamster wonders where he is now and when he will show up. The sun shines brightly in the sky, as if it's happy but her mood definitely, doesn't match, it's more like a gloomy rainy day as she sits on the porch.. Skyler comes out of the house as the door opens and shuts it behind him. "It's no use to keep waiting for him, it seems to me like he's never gonna come.." Said her brother, feeling sorry for his sister. With Miles being a wolf or a wolf like creature, Skyler won't be comfortable with him around anymore.. in fact he'll most likely stay in his bedroom until he left.
"I guess your right.. I just miss him.. he's a good guy and I want to be around him still but I'm mad at him too. How could he make something up just to hide what was really going on?!! But I still.. want to wait for him."
It's quiet for a moment until Skyler breaks the silence.
"Maybe you can.. uhh... I-I don't know.. maybe... look for him instead of waiting?" Said Skyler nervously.
She pauses for a few minutes, stands up and shouts. "YEAH! I will go look for him and when I find him, I'm going to give him a piece of MY MIND!! And what will happen next will determine if I want to make peace with him or war!"
This burst of anger freaks her little brother but realizes why she's like that.
"Uhh.. I b-better get going.. I d-don't wanna miss the bus.." He said nervously.
"Oh! Yeah, go ahead!" She replied with a cool head.
Skyler smiles and then runs to the bus stop, while Lilly walks to the forest.
In the forest she shouts Miles' name over and over again. She shouts with a cool head, despite being mad at him. 'Maybe it wasn't his fault.. If it is then I'm getting mad at him for nothing but why couldn't he just tell me.. I don't think I would believe him though...' She sighs.
She keeps looking and looking and keeps calling for him but still no luck. Being tired from all the looking and shouting she sits down on the grassy ground. 'Maybe he doesn't want to be found.. This is what I get for getting mad at him I suppose...' Not wanting to be the only one with her brother anymore, she really wants to find Miles. She's happy with him and he's interesting to her, and he's a boy who looks like he's around her age! With Miles being added, it makes her life better. She suddenly gets really tired as her eyes become droopy. Lilly makes a big yawn, decides to lay on the grass and she soon falls asleep.
"Wow! What a great story! Is it real??!" Said a small feminine hamster.
"No.. it's not. But some say that it is!" Said an old masculine hamster.
She gasps in excitement. "I hope it's real, grandpa!"
He laughs. "I hope so too!"
The white hamster slowly opens her eyes in the darkness. "I must have fallen asleep.. " She sits up and sees that the sun's light isn't shinning anymore. "HUH??! How long was I asleep??!"
She stands up and starts walking but she's not able to see.. and trips on a tree's root on the grass. "Oww!" And lands on her stomach. "Without the sun or a flash light, it's useless to walk around here.. First I can't find Miles and now I can't find my way back home.."
Just then.. the area of the forest that Lilly is in lights up in a pale white light. She gets up and looks up to the sky and sees part of the moon through the top of the trees. "Yes! Now I can see where I'm going! But.. how do I find Miles..?"
Suddenly she hears feet moving amongst the grass.. She looks all around her but she can't figure out where it's coming from. Just then she notices that the sound is in front of her! She gulps but tries to prepare herself for who's feet is coming towards her. There.. in the moonlight.. stands a big wolf like creature that is similar to what Miles turned into! Except.. he has gray fur that aligns at his nose and down to the sides of his head as it goes down to his forelegs and stops at his dark gray legs. The rest of his fur however is white. It looks at her with it's yellow eyes that also has a black lining around them.
