Welcome

To Melon's Island, the site that is all about my old but renewed story called Melon's Adventures. Almost everything is renewed so there's only one chapter and three character profiles but more chapters and characters will be on the site as soon as possible :D The site also has a fresh new look, especially now with an updated layout! :3

New and old visitors are always welcome! :D You could sign the Guest Book.. but since it still won't work, I sadly removed it D:

About This Layout

Splash Image Font: Emmet

It started out when I had the idea to make a layout based on Chapter 1 since I really enjoy the outcome of it and the fact that I was getting tired of layouts having a title like; something island. I thought of using the scene where Melon battles Canaku would be perfect for the banner. I found out how make transparent boxes on top of background images so I used that for the navigation :D but was unable to use black for the text like I wanted to because of using black for the background color so I used red and crimson. I ended up using orange text and yellow shading for the hover since their Melon's colors.

For the banner, It took a while to draw Melon and especially Canaku in his snake form since the only drawing I did was a doodle so I used a reference. I used black and light grey for the clouds and blended grey for the background. The banner was a pain for the fact that the navigation had to be over the banner in order to transparent so that's why the banner is so big compared to the content :/ Ended up making the content width bigger than I expected but it isn't that much bigger. Used all black text since I used so much red in the navigation.
